ipad syncs music just fine, but iphone 7 no

ipad syncs music just fine, but iphone 7 no......iphone looks like it is missing a LOT of songs that are on my itunes software on my laptop. All settings are the same on both ipad and iphone 7. Also, iphone seems to strip off and delete all my computer playlists on itunes software.

iPhone 7, iOS 10

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it seems like you are trying to sync music and playlists from iTunes to the new iPhone. It sounds like you are able to sync some content but not all content. I would recommend you read these articles, the second article has information for if your music did not all come from the iTunes Store.
